RX Series technology reduces ground line (common mode) surges to a maximum of 0.50 (one half) volt.
While ground line surges and disturbances don’t typically cause catastrophic damage, they do cause operating failures and improper performance of digital processing equipment.
The Hybrid Filter also protects against more dramatic events. Connected equipment is safe from surges up to 6,000 volts at 3,000 amps between line and neutral. The RX Series circuitry allows a maximum 10.0 volt normal mode surge. Excessive voltage or improper line, neutral or ground connection prevent the RX30 from passing power to connected equipment.
Connectivity Features
The Juice Goose RX 30 has three NEMA 5-15R receptacles to connect and protect multiple components in a small space.  The 3 foot long power source cable has a convenient right angle plug to lie flat against a wall.  This design allows for better filter module placement and connection with hard to reach AC outlets.
Why a clean ground is important
The RX Series technology will not contaminate the ground. Instead, it cleans it up by reducing ground line (common mode) surges to a maximum of 0.50 (one half) volt.
Any equipment with a digital processor uses ground as reference for the alternating voltage that creates binary information. Disturbances of even a few volts on the ground line can cause problems by mimicking the voltage used to create strings of digital impulses. Reducing that problem requires limiting ground line interference to very low levels.
