It all started back in 2002, in a small apartment in pretty Belgium. CEO Bart Swinnen and co-founder Jan Renckens brought together some young dynamic people with a profound background in electronics and software development. Their goal was to create new and distinctive technology for professional lighting projects. So they started of as Luminex Lighting Control Equipment, a young and ambitious company specialised in developing lighting control equipment for the entertainment industry. In 2004 they successfully kicked-off with their first product in use. The Ethernet-DMX8 node was running 32 DMX lines at the Paralympics in Athens.
The years after, Luminex became a well-known brand in the lighting control industry. We started validating our products by other big brands such as MA Lighting, Yamaha, QSC and many more. Today we are working very hard to maintain that position in the lighting industry but we are also focussing on other markets such as audio and video control, art and design solutions and fixed installations in buildings, entertainment parks and cruise ships. GigaCore 26i: The GigaCore 26i has considerably more ports then all its predecessors in the GigaCore range. This high port density switch (24x RJ45 and 6x SFP) is designed to offer more capacity for large system integrations such as theaters, concert halls, convention centers, sports arenas, studios, cruise ships, theme parks, hotels, houses of worship and other fixed installations. The GigaCore 26i is a Gigabit Ethernet switch providing a budget friendly solution when port density matters. The unit comes with all the advanced functionalities of the GigaCore Ethernet switches range, in a fully AV-installation oriented package. The unit offers 26 Gigabit ports that are all connected on the front panel. Each port on the switch will have coloured mode led indications which will indicate different properties of the port such as: PoE, redundancy and group membership.
GigaCore 16RFO: The GigaCore 16RFO is a unit designed without compromises, specifically with touring application in mind and with the feedback of key industry players. The unit comes with all the advanced functionalities of the GigaCore Ethernet switches range, in a fully touring oriented package. The 2U high device offers rugged optical connectors options such as OpticalCon, installable at the front or the rear of the unit, making a very flexible solution. Full backup on power supply is available, bringing true redundancy at power level. Front end display, rugged connectors, and the easiest managed switch interface available on the market, make this product the ideal companion for a stressless tour! The GigaCore 16RFO has four slots for rugged Fiber connectors (option between Neutrik of Fiberfox) for long distance coverage. So when harsh environments such as tours and live events are your daily life, the GigaCore 16RFO is likely to become your best friend you can always rely on.
GigaCore 16Xt: The GigaCore 16Xt is a Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to cope with the most demanding lighting and AV installations. Managed through an intuitive web interface, the unit can also be configured from the front end display, making this switch a hassle-free solution for your everyday job. Four SFP cages also offer users to create complex network topologies over fiber link, such as mesh or ring. Additional available options makes the GigaCore 16Xt one of the most secured system of the industry. The GigaCore 16Xt provides users with four SFP cages for Fiber connectivity. Just connect a multimode or single mode Fiber transceiver to each SFP cage and it will enable you to cover greater distances with a total link immunity up to 10km! Connect the GigaCore 16Xt to a GigaCore RPSU for ultimate redundancy, even on power level (and PoE). If for some reason the built-in power supply fails, the RPSU keeps your system up and running.
GigaCore 12: The GigaCore 12 is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to setup professional lighting and AV networks, but in a truly user friendly way. The unit offers 12 Gigabit ports on shielded Neutrik Ethercon ports, making the product a hard environment friendly device. All configurations are done through the industry oriented web interface.
GigaCore 14R: The GigaCore 14R is a Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to cope with the most demanding lighting and AV installations. Managed through a web interface, the device offers a user friendly experience with an industry specific oriented interface. Fitted with two SFP cages, the switch can support any compliant fiber transceiver, breaking the limit of copper cable run. Two power backup ports at the rear of the unit makes the switch a reliable Gigabit core for your network. The GigaCore 14R comes with a bunch of industry oriented feature, providing a user friendly solution and lowering down setup time.
