The holiday season in Florence, as in many Italian cities, is steeped in tradition. During the first days of the month, storekeepers begin to decorate their shop windows inspired by the theme of Christmas and the staff of the municipality of Florence begins to place the traditional decorative lighting along the city streets.
But the main attraction is in Florence’s historic center in the form of a large Christmas tree set up in the magnificent Piazza del Duomo. The lighting of the Christmas tree is accompanied by an official public ceremony with the participation of Florence’s mayor and is accented by the beautiful nativity scene of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with life-size terracotta statues made in Tuscany.
K-array was called upon to join in the celebrations and provided an Anakonda system that was hidden among the branches of the great Christmas tree. Three clusters of 3 Anakonda speakers were hung vertically from the top of the tree and paired with a KU210 sub to provide holiday music to the passersby in the busy square.
The installation is a perfect way for K-array to wish everyone in Florence, and everyone across the globe including distributors, dealers and customers alike, a very merry holiday season and a healthy new year.
