Back by popular demand, the Comprehensive 2016 Comparison of Juice Goose vs. the competition.
It’s all about the ground line. Ground line contamination – or lack thereof – has been a major theme for many power line protection firms.
The Juice Goose RX Series power conditioners limit AC ground interference to 0.50 (one half) volt and line – neutral interference to 10 volts. RX also protects against over voltage and external wiring faults such as loss of ground or L-N reversal. List price for the RX10 is $189. The rack mount RX100 lists for $399.
Juice Goose performed a series of head-to-head tests comparing the RX series technology to a comparable Surgex SX model. In all cases, the Juice Goose product outperformed Surgex. Click below to download the results of those tests. The Surgex rack mount SX-1115 lists for $559. See the test results.
The Middle Atlantic PD915R-SP and comparable twenty amp model feature “Series Protection” (a name trademarked by Middle Atlantic). The company makes few representations about how well that technology works, other than saying it’s fast and doesn’t contaminate the ground. List prices lead the industry at $610 ($774 for the twenty amp model).
