Juice Goose has been selling UPSs for over twenty years and offers a broad selection of models with a range of features and price points.
The economical KIN Series includes a single rack space KIN 1000RM (List $399) and a three rack space KIN 2200RM (List $599). These voltage regulating models provide power conditioning and battery support that is ideal for the average installation on a budget.
SCV Series are on line, double conversion units with a high efficiency, 0.90 power factor design. Connected equipment receives stable power from the battery 100% of the time.
List prices start at $810 for a 900 watt unit. All SCV models ship free freight in the continental US.
The ABCE Series are isolation transformers assembled together with a voltage regulating UPS. That combination is a single component power management unit that provides the cleanest ground line and most stable AC power conditioning available. List prices begin at $1,489 for a 630 watt unit.
Furman seems focused on the residential market with their two visually appealing UPS offerings. The F1000-UPS (List $799) is a line interactive unit with a 600 watt capacity, comparable to the KIN-1000RM (List $399). The F1500-UPS (List $1,299) is a larger version of the the same product.
Middle Atlantic divides their UPS line into two groups. Both are line interactive. Middle Atlantic offers no on line, double conversion UPS models. The Select models are “value priced” and include two 1U units. The S1000-R (List $858) is most comparable to the KIN-1000RM – at more than twice the price. Base models in the Premium series begin at higher price points (List from $1,307). Add-on features provide greater outlet controls but no better power quality for list prices over $2,200.
Surgex UPS models are also divided into two groups. There are three “Stand Alone” models that feature on line, double conversion design and a 0.90 power factor efficiency – similar to the SCV Series. Their UPS1000-OL lists for $1,119 ($300 more than the SCV 10001). Surgex also offers a “UPS + Protection” option that includes a line interactive UPS with their series mode surge protection for $1,299 list for a 600 watt unit.
