Simplicity and functionality are emphasized by Juice Goose in the iP Series. Four models include two rack mount units with power conditioning (iP 1515, List $659 and iP 1520, List $692), an in wall device (iP 1, List $359) and the only multiple circuit iP unit on the market (iP PD1-4, List $861).
All models have an on board web server that provides GUI outlet control and current monitoring (0.20 to 20.0 amps). iP Series products have an auto reboot capability and work with text based control systems via RS232, TCP or UDP connections. iP Series models are also available with SNMP communications capabilities.
Furman extends the reach of its CN power units with a BlueBolt network interface card. Together, they raise the list price of a fifteen amp web based power unit to $750. Functionality is based on their proprietary, cloud based control – but, can be adapted to telnet type systems.
Middle Atlantic has gone deep on AC power monitoring as well as control. Their RLNK products provide a broad range of power quality monitoring functions as well as automatic administrator notification. They do so at price points 40% to 60% higher than comparable Juice Goose models.
Surgex also has a focus on enterprise level AC power management. Like their MAP counterpart, Surgex values power line monitoring and recording. They add their high end surge protection to the SX-AX15E (List $1,849) and SX-AX20E (List 1,889). If keeping and eye on your AC quality and reporting anomalies is important, those products may be worth the high price. But, they may be too much for simple power control applications.
