We recently hosted a demo of several key products from Renkus-Heinz for San Diego-based Integrator. Included in the demonstration, were several products from the companies Digitally-steerable technologies, including the IC2 and Iconyx. Put on display, but not demonstrated was the Iconyx Live, or also known as IC Live. In addition, the CF101LA Modular Point Source Array, paired with two CF15S subwoofers.
The IC2 system demonstrated contained a total of four IC2 top boxes (2 per side) and a total of six IC212 subwoofers (3 per side). This powerhouse system was able to achieve very high SPL, while allowing for very flexible (and may we add way cool) digital beam steering. Combining the advantages of point source design with the control and flexibility of digitally steered array technology, IC² digitally steerable loudspeaker modules and arrays offer an elegant and innovative solution to the most challenging acoustical problems. Individual driver control delivers unequalled vertical pattern control for maximum intelligibility. IC² beams can be steered up or down while the stack or array remains vertical. Powerful and versatile, the IC² system’s four 8-inch low frequency Neodymium transducers and four 1-inch throat Titanium Nitride coated HF drivers deliver powerful sound levels that belie their compact size. Whether employed individually as a stand-alone high-performance loudspeaker, ground stacked as a small array, or flown in larger, multi-cabinet arrays for even more output and greater control, IC² is an ideal solution for everything from delivering intelligible speech and cutting through crowd noise to shaking the rafters at rock concerts.
IC2 loudspeaker systems are both powerful and versatile. As a stand alone loudspeaker, the IC2 will deliver over 100 dB SPL of audiophile quality audio at 100 feet.
The six IC212 subwoofers provided the sub-bass for the system. With several tracks played throughout the demo, the demo ended with the playing of the song “Centipede” with its super low sub-bass notes absolutely shook the room, creating an impressive demo that left the people attending very impressed at what this system was capable of.
During the demonstration of the IC16 Gen 5, we showed on the screens the new RHAON II, used for control of all RHAON empowered loudspeakers, as well as the digital beam steering control. By demonstrating the beam steering, we were able to demonstrate how powerful, and useful this technology really is! To complete our demo, we demonstrated the CF101LA. Our CF101LA system consisted of two CF101LA modules, and two CF15S subwoofers.
