If you plan for, decide on, design, purchase, install, repair or have any part in what’s seen or heard at your organization, classroom, retail location, corporate office, or if you work in live events, entertainment, sports, hospitality, or houses of worship, InfoComm is THE event for you. With the largest collection of products, training, networking, all under one roof, InfoComm is your once-a-year opportunity to see, hear, and talk about the exciting projects that are fueled by AV technology.
Tips for Attending InfoComm 2017:
1. Don’t get left out
Pick up your badge from one of the registration areas at the Orange County Convention Center before attending the Opening Reception Tuesday night. It’s your golden ticket, Charlie!
2. Make a game plan
Check out the exhibitor list and decide who you’re going to visit before you get on-site.
3. Dress in layers
It might be hot outside, but it’s pretty chilly in the convention center. Don’t forget to bring a sweater.
4. Bring a friend, or two, or three
Adventures are always more fun when you bring your buddy. Explore the show floor together or divide and conquer.
5. It’s dangerous to go alone, use this—
Okay…it’s not actually dangerous, but you should still use this. The InfoComm 2017 mobile app has all the info you need and more. Schedule education sessions, navigate the show floor, and get reminders for networking events.
6. Are your boots made for walkin’?
There’s so much to see and you don’t want to miss a beat. Make sure you bring a lot of (comfortable) shoes!
7. Are you certified?
If you’re taking a CTS prep class at the show, don’t forget you can also take your exam on-site. These testing sessions fill up quick.
8. One for you, and one for you, and one for you…
You’ll meet more people than you think. Don’t forget to bring extra business cards.
9. Step into the Future
If you want to go to any education session about “the future”, make sure you show up 15 minutes early.
10. Have fun
InfoComm is so much more than education and networking. Don’t forget to take a selfie, grab a beer and relax.
