P Audio has added the 3Line-C, a new eight element vertical array, to its growing catalogue of column systems. Equipped with eight 3-inch, closely spaced woofers for defined pattern control, the new model also incorporates six 1-inch soft dome tweeters in front of the LF elements at the top to provide consistent directivity across the crossover spectrum and allowing two cabinets to be stacked on top of one another. Measuring 92mm w x 700m h x 135mm d, the 5.4kg vertical array can be adapted for both portable and fixed installation applications. It is especially relevant in reverberant acoustic spaces where the passive folded steel enclosure exhibits progressive directivity control and defined vertical radiation when required. Operating within a 150Hz–20 kHz frequency response, the 300W-rated (continuous) cabinet is lined with butyl rubber damping material to prevent resonances and is both zinc plated and powder coated to ensure durability. Two Neutrik Speakon connectors promote daisy-chaining, whilst a variety of rigging accessories such as the 3L-PTB wall bracket, whilst a 3L-LB 35mm pole adapter allows mounting above a subwoofer at a fixed height.
The X8-15A v2 is a new 15-inch loudspeaker system designed primarily for portable sound reinforcement applications. The HF section of the two-way 
system incorporates a new 1-inch compression driver coupled to a 90 x 40 constant directivity horn for controlled pattern coverage at all frequencies. Incorporating a bi-amplified class D design 650W (peak) power amplifier, the X8-15A employs internal DSP parameters including crossover and EQ to the individual components in addition to FIR processing for transforming the speaker into a linear phase system. The injection moulded enclosure enhances structural support. The preamp features mic level inputs, multiple line level inputs and a parallel output connection for daisy chaining several loudspeakers together to form a larger system. Operating within a 50Hz-22kHz frequency range, the 21kg model can adopt a ‘Top Hat’ style stand adaptor for further mounting options.
Designed to extend the lower frequencies of the X8-15A v2 model down to 30Hz, the X8-SUB is a 750W peak-rated 18-inch ported subwoofer. Equipped with XLR line inputs and outputs, the new subwoofer also integrates a high pass filtered line out connection at 80Hz, which provides a link through the sub to the sop enclosure. Measuring 620mm H x 490mm W x 595mm D, the 44kg incorporates a Class-D amplifier with switching power supply, which includes a suite of protection circuits including turn on delay, short circuit, DC voltage, peak, limiter and over temperature.
