K-array Helps Mexico Take on Environmental Challenges

Late last year, the government of Mexico hosted the 2016 CBD Business and Biodiversity Forumwith world economic leaders like the Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, CEMEX managers, Natura, members of European Union and others in attendance. The important event, which took place in Cancun, Mexico from 2-3 December 2016, had the aim of looking for solutions to the limits and challenges of sustainable business that defends the biodiversity of Mexico and all around the world.

Realizing that it’s not enough to have a valuable message to engage their audience, CDB organizers wanted high audio intelligibility to make the discussions more effective. To help continue the conversation, integrator Cinetica Productions was tasked with providing an audio system with clear spoken word and the ability to cover a large area uniformly.

With previous experience using K-array, Cinetica Productions was confident the Italian manufacturer could meet the requirements for such an important event and employed four Pinnacle-KR402 I systems to provide reliable, high sound quality.

The Pinnacle-KR402 I portable system is a column line array powered by a Class D amplifierlocated in the Thunder-KMT21 subwoofer with 2 channels of 2000W and two Python-KP102loudspeakers with neodymium speakers. With the benefit of setting up the system in any desired arrangement, the Pinnacles were organized in each of the four corners of the conference hall.

“The systems also minimized feedback issues, which proved to be especially convenient on a platform full of microphones. Cinetica Productions was extremely pleased with how quick and easy the systems were to set up and the CDB was equally happy with the sound performance of the event. We are proud to represent such a quality brand to the Mexican market.” -Antonio Manzo Rojas, Sales & Marketing Manager Gonher ProAudio, Mexican distributor of K-array
