Linea Research, the UK based manufacturer of high performance Amplifiers and System Controllers has announced the formation of their new North American office. Linea Research North America.
To manage the US market Linea Research have appointed industry veteran Rik Kirby whose newly formed company, Allied SMD will provide sales, logistics and technical support customers in the US from a base in Southern California.
“It’s exciting to be working with Linea Research” comments Kirby, “Linea have such great products and my personal relationship with the guys goes back to when we worked together at BSS Audio. As they are largely unknown in the US our initial focus will be getting the word out and putting together our new rep force.”
Davey Smalley, Linea Research’s operations director adds, “it’s a great fit between Rik and ourselves because although Linea have been present in the US for many years as an OEM supplier of self-powered speaker amplification, our name is relatively unfamiliar. Now with the launch of Linea Research branded products we are really looking forward to the focus and attention that Rik will give us as we build our presence in North America together.”
Handling distribution north of the border in Canada, Linea Research have appointed Contact Distribution, one of the leading companies in the Canadian market. Bill Coons, head of Contact remarks “Linea Research makes fantastic products that marry well with our line card of high premium performance audio products”.
Both markets will be served by Linea Research North America’s warehouse, logistics and service facility so as to enable the brand to hit the ground running and focus on education and customer support out of the gate.
