The wait is finally over. RHAON 2 from Renkus-Heinz will be here shortly, and the new version comes with many improvements. While the steering capabilities (and the user interface) are similar, RHAON 2 has a new look. The goal: make it easier for installation. Renkus-Heinz is the leader in steerable sound, and you don’t get a title like that without merit. RH has been a pioneer when it comes to professional loudspeakers, and after over 35 years of being in business, they’ve done it again with yet another innovative way to make your job easier!
Now, the user-interface has been upgraded. It’s easier to navigate, and is far more device-centric than it’s predecessor, RHAON 1. Beamsteering is now done in lightning fast times, with most files being transferred in less than ten seconds! That’s quite an improvement from the previous version; it will result in being able to commission Iconyx, IC Live and IC2 systems in far less time.
Here are a few notes from Renkus-Heinz on this new version: “RHAON II System Manager has been completely redesigned from the ground up, using highly structured modular code for greater stability and expandability. The result is a new, more robust RHAON technology — faster, more reliable, with a streamlined, intuitive workflow. RHAON II is easy to program, easy to use, and fully compatible with both Gen5 and legacy Renkus-Heinz Iconyx series products. RHAON II’s new, network-agnostic interface has been designed to work with tomorrow’s networking protocols as well as today’s. Currently supporting AVDECC IEEE1722.1 and CobraNet, RHAON II has been structured to allow easy implementation of today’s and tomorrow’s emerging protocols. Support for multiple NICs, and wireless operation (where supported) makes RHAON II easy to integrate into existing network infrastructure. RHAON II is fully integrated with Renkus-Heinz Iconyx and IC Live Gen5 technologies, delivering the power of advanced beam steering algorithms and UniBeam Technology for dramatically more uniform coverage, increased output, and faster setup and deployment.”
The goal has always been: faster, better, and cheaper. This is often hard to accomplish, and oftentimes, you’ll only accomplish two of three. Well, with RHAON 2, RH has accomplished all three!
